Shiqi District on August 25 held its second economic work promotion meeting this year. In the first half of the year, Shiqi District had a regional GDP of 11.407 billion yuan, up 7% year-on-year, ranking 4th in Zhongshan.

In the first half, Shiqi District's completed investment in fixed assets totaled 2.867 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 48%, ranking 5th in Zhongshan. The total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 14.155 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 12.2%.

The total investment in construction and installation of infrastructure and public supporting projects in the Shiqi Headquarters Economic Zone was about 690 million yuan, and the overall completion progress of infrastructure projects exceeded 40%. Zhongshan R&F Center, Rural Commercial Bank Building and other high-end industrial carrier projects, as well as supporting housing projects for talent have completed a total investment of about 900 million yuan.

Shiqi District introduced 16 projects this year so far, including the Suizi Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park. Seven projects under discussion intend to settle in the Shiqi Area of Qijiang New Town, and twelve projects are included in the provincial and municipal key project lists.

In terms of people's livelihood, the new primary school project in the Shiqi Headquarters Economic Zone and the Shiqi High School expansion project were completed on schedule. Beiqu Middle School and Zhongshan Experimental Middle School have reached a preliminary school-running cooperation agreement.
