A research group led by Cai Wanlin, director of the Guangdong Station of China Media Group (CMG), visited Zhongshan from August 31 to September 1 to probe into Zhongshan's efforts in improving urban competitiveness and building a most cost-efficient business-friendly city in the Greater Bay Area.

The research group visited Torch Development Zone, Tsuihang New District, Nanlang Sub-district, Dachong Town, Xiaolan Town and Guzhen Town to gain an all-around, multi-angle, comprehensive understanding of Zhongshan's major transportation infrastructure development, major industrial platform building, industrial innovation-oriented and green development, historical and cultural inheritance and adaptive reuse, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao business and innovation cooperation, transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, rural revitalization, etc.

The research group was impressed by Zhongshan's development. In the Dachong-based Chinese Rosewood Culture Expo City and the Guzhen-based Star Alliance, the exquisite craftsmanship of rosewood furniture and lighting products impressed the team members, who looked forward to the transformation and upgrading as well as the innovative development of specialty industries in Zhongshan.
