A mobilization meeting for inefficient industrial park renovation in rural areas was held on February 7 at Zhongshan Yunfeng Hardware Co Ltd in Lixi Village, Banfu Town. Zhao Xixiong, secretary of the CPC Banfu Town Committee, announced the start of another 3 renovation projects, including Zhongshan Yunfeng Hardware Co Ltd, Zhongshan Salop Packaging Manufacturing Co Ltd and Guangdong ShenChuan Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Co Ltd.

The three old factory buildings that were demolished on the day covered a total area of 78 mu (5.2 hectares). Zhongshan Yunfeng Hardware Co Ltd, one of the three, plans a five-story factory with a total construction area of 14,064.12 square meters. This digital intelligent manufacturing factory will cost about 160 million yuan, and the first phase is planned to be put into operation by the end of August 2022.

"The project is estimated to have an annual output value reaching 200 million yuan and create nearly 500 new jobs," said Yang Xianyun, head of Zhongshan Yunfeng Hardware Co Ltd.

At the ceremony, a special volunteer service team was established, which will put its full support behind the industrial park renovation in Banfu Town.

This year, Banfu Town will strive to build three 1,000-mu industrial parks and four 100-mu ones.
