By the end of February 2022, there are 520,260 market entities in Zhongshan.

This includes 218,594 enterprises (including private enterprises, state-owned, collective and their holding enterprises, and foreign-funded enterprises), up 14.12% year on year. There are 5,502 foreign-funded enterprises, with a registered capital of US$ 17.484 billion, up 14.74% and 26.96% year on year respectively.

The top three towns and districts with the most enterprises are Xiaolan, Guzhen and Henglan, with 37,220, 19,257 and 15,638 enterprises respectively, accounting for one third of the total in Zhongshan.

Guzhen Town, Henglan Town, East District, Shiqi District and Tanzhou Town see rapid growth, up 28.61%, 22.7%, 19.03%, 17.55% and 15.48% year on year respectively.

From January to February this year, 4,987 enterprises were established in Zhongshan, with a registered capital of 13.97 billion yuan, up 14.67% and 3.12% year on year respectively. Among them, there were 55 foreign-funded enterprises, with a year-on-year increase of 7.84%, with a registered capital of US$ 22 million, down 50.09% year on year.
