It took only 27 minutes for the Fengrun Smart Home Science Park Project to go from the land auction to receiving the construction permit and 11 minutes for the Elivin New Base Project. On March 30, both projects in Gangkou benefitted from "rapid groundbreaking" policies. The latter project set a record for the fastest groundbreaking project approval time in Zhongshan.

The Fengrun Smart Home Science Park Project covers an area of about 23 mu, with a planned investment of 200 million yuan. The project plans to build a smart home industrial base integrating R&D, manufacturing and office functions. It is scheduled to complete installation and be put into production in November 2023. Upon completion, Fengrun Smart Home Technology Co Ltd will move their whole factory to Gangkou Town for production and operation, with an annual estimated output value of 370 million yuan and an annual tax revenue of 15.42 million yuan, further expanding the scale of the smart home industrial cluster in Gangkou Town and providing over 500 new jobs.

The Elivin New Base Project covers an area of 15 mu, with a planned total investment of 100 million yuan and an overall planned construction area of 24,000 square meters. The main aspect of the project includes the construction of 20,000 square meters of production plants, as well as more than 3,000 square meters of comprehensive office buildings, dormitories, staff canteens, and other staff activity facilities.
