Zhongshan's GDP in the first quarter of 2022 was 79.692 billion yuan, up 2.2% year-on-year, according to the provincial data.

The added value of Zhongshan's primary industry was 1.669 billion yuan, up 13.4% year-on-year; the secondary industry was 37.249 billion yuan, up 6.0%year-on-year; while the tertiary industry was 40.774 billion yuan, down 1.4% year-on-year.

In the first quarter, the added value of the industrial enterprises above designated size in Zhongshan increased by a significant 7.1% year-on-year.

Zhongshan's imports and exports totaled 71.99 billion yuan, up a significant 22.3%.
