The Zhongshan People's Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chinese e-commerce giant JD Group on June 18. Both sides will develop cooperation in 9 major areas, aiming to boost the integrated development between Zhongshan's industrial upgrading and JD's quality resources.

JD Group, also a Fortune Global 500 company, is the largest internet-based enterprise by revenue in China. After preliminary negotiations, the two sides reached a consensus on strategic cooperation in nine major areas, including establishing a Smart City Digital Economy Industrial Innovation Base, jointly building the Zhongshan Urban Governance Modernization Center, supply-chain digital innovation demonstration projects, the JD Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park and JD Smart Supply Chain Operation Center, as well as exploring new consumption patterns, urban consumption promotion systems, digital transformation of government and enterprise procurement, supply chain finance, and innovative auction services.
