The Zhongshan Municipal People's Government and Shenzhen International Holdings Limited (Shenzhen International) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on November 3. Under the agreement, the two sides will work together to construct a Shenzhen-Zhongshan modern supply chain base in the Greater Bay Area based on the Zhongshan Bonded Logistics Center and explore the building of the "Shenzhen-Shenzhong Link-Zhongshan" new-type logistics pattern to boost the high-quality, integrated development of the tow cities. Guo Wenhai, secretary of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee and Li Haitao, Party secretary and chairman of Shenzhen International witnessed the agreement signing.
Guo warmly welcomed the visiting delegation led by Li. He said the supply chain base will serve Zhongshan and the entire GBA and help speed up the integrated development of both sides of the Pearl River Estuary. Zhongshan will offer full support to accelerate the construction of the project. Shenzhen International has rich experience and resources in such sectors as transportation and logistics. He expressed his hopes that the two sides could strengthen comprehensive strategic cooperation to achieve win-win results and joint development.
Li expressed his gratitude for Zhongshan's care and support to Shenzhen International and introduced the company's current operation status and development plans in Zhongshan. He said that Zhongshan, with rich historical and cultural deposits, is a well-rounded and fast-developing city. It has an outstanding business environment and regional advantages and thus is full of development opportunities. Shenzhen International will utilize its advantages, take an active part in the development of Zhongshan's logistics industry, increase efforts to put projects into operation, promote the integrated development of the east and west sides of the Pearl River Estuary, and make greater contributions to the development of Zhongshan.
