The 2023 Overseas Experts' Visit to Zhongshan, Guangdong & Conference on International Exchange of Professionals took place at Zhongshan Hot Spring Resort on March 30.

In the activity, 20 key enterprises, research institutes and organizations with doctoral and post-doctoral workstations in Zhongshan, including Akeso and QuaCell Biotechnology, made face-to-face communication with doctoral and post-doctoral experts from home and abroad.

"I am very interested in Zhongshan. The city provides favorable talent policies covering subsidies, research start-up funds and other aspects," said Wang Cui, a PhD candidate in computer science at Macao Polytechnic University. "There are a lot of opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, where innovation platforms available provide high starting points. If given a chance, I hope to stay in Zhongshan."

Zhao Wenjin, a PhD in mechanical engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, came specially from Shenzhen for the activity. "Zhongshan is doing well in both talent policies and supporting services, which is attractive to me," said Zhao, adding that he would tell what he learned about in Zhongshan to his doctoral and post-doctoral friends.
