To seize the historic opportunities in the new era presented by the ShenZhong (Shenzhen-Zhongshan) Link, which opened to traffic recently, Zhongshan is opening its door on the east bank of the Pearl River to the globe. These efforts aim to showcase Zhongshan's vast opportunities and substantial industrial landscape to attract more high-quality enterprises to invest and establish their presence here, and to continuously stimulate the vitality of Zhongshan's high-quality development. The city will host the 2024 Zhongshan Global Investment Promotion Conference on July 30, 2024.

The event will be organized in the form of "1+4", with the "1" for the 2024 Zhongshan Global Investment Promotion Conference and the "4" for industry-specific investment promotion matchmaking conferences. The matchmaking conferences will focus on the key areas of the "ten fleets" of Zhongshan's modern industrial clusters in the new era, namely, new energy, biomedicine and healthcare, next-generation information technology, smart home appliances, high-end equipment, optoelectronics, lighting, home furnishing, modern agriculture and food, and modern fashion.

The theme of this conference is "Sharing the New Link and Seizing New Opportunities". Leveraging the one-month anniversary since the ShenZhong Link opened, this event will showcase Zhongshan's excellent business environment to major domestic and foreign enterprises. It will focus on announcing the 10,000-mu (around 666 hectares) industrial park area in Zhongshan, securing a series of contracts for key projects, and demonstrating the city's investment promotion achievements. Additionally, academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and representatives of major domestic and foreign enterprises will be invited to give speeches and engage in dialogues, sharing opportunities presented by the GBA and participating in planning the city's future.
