The construction of the Zhongshan (Dongfeng) Vanyang household appliance industry agglomeration zone project, one of the municipal key projects, was in full swing on October 25.

Satisfactory progress has been made in investment attraction on the project, even though it has not been completed as a whole. So far, a total of 165 enterprises have decided to move in with plans to purchase factory buildings.

The Vanyang project covers a land area of 37.2 hectares. With an investment of 3.4 billion yuan, it will be constructed in five phases into a model project of industrial park renovation and city-Industry integration.

Upon completion, the project is estimated to achieve an annual output value of about 6.7 billion yuan and an annual tax revenue of 240 million yuan, and around 400 enterprises will move in.

The project has attracted more than 400 enterprises from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan and Zhongshan with the intention to move in, covering such fields as lighting fixtures, household appliance parts, electrical accessories and metal products.
