As the first supporting event of the 2024 Global Investment Promotion Conference for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the 2024 Top 100 Foreign-invested Enterprises in Guangdong Launch Ceremony was held in Guangzhou on November 7.

The 100 listed enterprises have together invested 36.6 billion US dollar in Guangdong, with each enterprise investing more than 100 million US dollar. Foreign investment mainly comes from 16 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Japan and Singapore, as well as China's Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Eighty-nine listed enterprises are based in 9 cities in the Pearl River Delta region, such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The remaining 11 are based in 6 cities in eastern, western and northern Guangdong, such as Shantou and Zhanjiang. Four Zhongshan-based enterprises made the list, including Akeso Inc, Wistron Zhongshan, Huali Industrial Group and Golden Eagle.

There are the most 69 manufacturing enterprises making the list, and enterprises in the fields of next-generation information technology, advanced equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, green petrochemicals, new materials and modern services accounted about 80% for the top 100. Over 70% of the top 100 are high-tech and knowledge-intensive enterprises.
