Uniwatt, a chip manufacturer in Zhongshan, signed an agreement on its headquarters base project with Zhongshan Torch Industries Group on November 13.

With a land area of 60 mu and an investment of 1 billion yuan, the project aims to build a headquarters base integrating R&D, production and sales of space solar cell products.

Uniwatt is a technology innovation-based enterprise nurtured in Torch Development Zone, and a private high-tech aerospace company with the ability to develop products spanning the entire industrial chain, from semiconductor materials to chips to space energy systems.

Founded in 2015, Uniwatt is dedicated to the development and industrialization of high-end compound semiconductor epitaxial wafers and chips, mainly including space solar cells, flexible solar cells and infrared detectors. It also offers supporting energy systems for satellites and near-space UAVs.
