At the beginning of the Chinese New Year, Zhongshan's Torch Development Zone sees a bustling scene of production. Two of the key enterprises in the zone, Hengsheng Pharmaceutical and ICECO, are making strides in both traditional Chinese medicine and modern equipment manufacturing through digital transformation and industrial upgrading.

Hengsheng Pharmaceutical, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhongzhi Pharmaceutical Group, is a modern high-tech enterprise specializing in the research, production and sales of Chinese patent medicine. It has been rooted in Torch Development Zone for 32 years.

To satisfy the growing market demand for quality Chinese patent medicine, Zhongzhi Pharmaceutical Group invested over 300 million yuan to build the Hengsheng park for modern Chinese patent medicine, which has been completed and put into operation. With the empowerment of digital and intelligent technologies, the park's production capacity has doubled.

Two kilometers away from Hengsheng Pharmaceutical, production is also in full swing at ICECO's automated production workshops.

"We mainly do business in automobile built-in, consumer brand and OEM/ODM, and our products are sold well in 66 countries and regions. We also provide quality services for more than 30 well-known car companies around the world," said ICECO chairman Shi Jiejun.

In the recent two years, ICECO has managed to carry out production while undergoing transformation. It took only 10 months for the company to complete the construction of 40,000 square meters of factory and office buildings, which help ICECO significantly increase production.

The new production and office environment not only attracts better customers and top talents, but also provides strong support for the company's strategic transformation and high-quality development, resulting in rapid growth in sales every year.
