Huangpu Freight Station, the first railway freight terminal in Zhongshan, started operations on March 29, 2023, opening a new direct channel of railway freight to Nansha Port in Guangzhou.
Over the past two years, this modern logistics hub has handled 3.35 million tons of cargo, equivalent to over 100,000 standard containers, solidifying its role as a core logistics engine for the surrounding regions.
Currently, three trains transfer goods out of Huangpu Freight Station every day, with an average of over 150 containers. These goods will be exported around the world through Nansha Port or China Railway Express.
Huangpu Freight Station has also stored a large quantity of raw materials from across the country.
In the 300-meter-long warehouse, goods including steel, fertilizer and industrial salt are stacked high. These materials not only provide local businesses with abundant production resources but also boost the improvement and upgrading of industrial chains.
