The Zhongshan Development and Reform Bureau recently announced the city's 2025 key construction projects plan.

This year, Zhongshan has prioritized 363 key construction projects and 87 key preparatory projects, covering such areas as transportation, industrial upgrading, energy and environmental protection, and public well-being.

In terms of transportation, four rail transit projects have been included in the preparatory project list, namely Xiangshan-Gongbei section of the Nansha-Zhuhai (Zhongshan) Intercity Railway, Guangzhou-Zhongshan-Zhuhai-Macao High-speed Railway, Shenzhen-Nansha-Zhongshan Intercity Railway, and the south extension line of Foshan Metro Line 11.

Zhongshan has made deployment targeting strategic emerging industries such as new energy, intelligent manufacturing and biomedicine. Among the preparatory projects, the new energy battery cluster project involves an investment of 816 million yuan, the Guangdong (Zhongshan) Dual Carbon Industrial Park has a total investment of 6 billion yuan, and the Zhongshan AI demonstration park requires 1.03 billion yuan. Among the key construction projects, the Mingyang modern energy equipment technology park has an investment of 5 billion yuan.

Traditional industries are also undergoing rapid upgrades. Among the preparatory projects, the Opple lighting production base involves an investment of 2.58 billion yuan. Among the key construction projects, the Enaiter smart appliances manufacturing base (Phases I and II combined) has a total investment of 850 million yuan.

In the public well-being sector, key construction projects mainly include the new campus of Zhongshan City People's Hospital, with an investment of 4.535 billion yuan, the renovation project of Zhongshan Southern Regional Central Hospital, with an investment of 790 million yuan, the Xueshan Campus of Zhongshan No. 1 Middle School, with an investment of 290 million yuan, and the Zhongshan High School of Science and Technology, involving an investment of 1.2 billion yuan.
