Zhongshan hosted the key project construction progress meeting for 2026 in Minzhong subdistrict, Torch High-Tech Zone on January 10. Over 80 projects, spanning strategic sectors such as high-end manufacturing, biomedicine and infrastructure, commenced construction simultaneously.

Torch High-Tech Zone contributed 12 projects with total investment of 5.87 billion yuan, including EMC Zhongshan's phase 2 project for AI-based high-performance and advanced semiconductor electronic materials (1.7 billion yuan investment).

"Phase 1 focuses on high-performance CCL and adhesive sheet production, which is already in trial production. Phase 2 will build an R&D and manufacturing hub for AI-based high-performance and advanced semiconductor electronic materials," said Zhuang Xinying, general manager of EMC Zhongshan. "Upon full operation, this will become a leading electronic materials R&D base in China with global competitiveness."

With a floor area of 47,000 square meters, the phase 2 facility includes factory workshops, R&D center, adhesive mixing workshops and warehouses. Full ramp-up targets annual output exceeding 10 billion yuan.
