The 2026 "Overseas Chinese Rejuvenating Guangdong" Zhongshan Special Event and the Overseas Chinese Exchange Conference on Promoting High-Quality Development (Zhongshan) was successfully held in Prato, Italy on May 14 local time, drawing over 500 overseas Chinese, businessmen and friends.

At the event, Zhongshan presented its business environment, industrial layout, enterprise-benefiting policies, and the strengths of signature industries such as Shaxi clothing.

Zhongshan signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Italy China Clothing Association (Associazione Abbigliamento Italia Cina) and the General Association of Chinese in Florence (Associazione Generale dei Cinesi a Firenze) to establish the Italy (Prato)–China (Zhongshan) Premium Products Exhibition and Trade Center, and appointed leading Italian overseas Chinese and business figures as Zhongshan investment promotion advisors.

To date, the Zhongshan Overseas Chinese+Trade Cooperation Alliance has recruited 26 overseas business associations and facilitated the establishment of 15 premium products exhibition and trade centers across 13 countries and regions.
