The opening ceremony of the Zhongshan Technology Innovation Park, along with an investment promotion conference, took place in Zhongshan's South District on August 28.

The park, a core facility of the Zhongshan Scientist Town, represents an investment of 1.6 billion yuan and comprises the Zhongshan Industrial Technology Research Center and the Zhongshan Institute of Advanced Cryogenic Technology.

The park is targeting investment in new energy centered on hydrogen, high-end equipment driven by smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence powered by the digital economy, and tech services that support innovation.

At the conference, 33 organizations — including university research platforms, leading firms and their suppliers, tech service providers, and companies that will locate in the park — signed cooperation agreements. Twelve investment projects were also confirmed, with a combined investment of over 1 billion yuan.
