Two major projects in Zhongshan's Xiaolan Town — the Jijia transmission technology R&D and production base and the Mingfeng precision transmission component research center and manufacturing base — broke ground on September 20, the same day they acquired their lands.

The Jijia project has a planned land area of 1 hectare and a total investment of 150 million yuan, and is expected to generate an annual output value of 120 million yuan once in full operation. It will build a precision gearbox plant, an R&D center and office facilities, helping the company expand into the new energy vehicle sector.

The investor, Zhongshan Jijia Transmission Technology Co, is a high-tech enterprise specializing in precision gearbox transmission components. Its products are widely used in the smart home sector, including coffee machines and electric grinders, and it supplies brands such as Xinbao, Midea and Nidec.

Zhongshan Mingfeng Precision Electromechanical Technology Co, among China's top 3 in transmission components for automotive closures, will invest 150 million yuan to build a high-precision transmission component plant, an R&D center and office space. The project has a planned land area of about 0.93 hectares and an expected annual output value of more than 110 million yuan once in full operation.

Founded in 2018, Mingfeng specializes in high-precision transmission components such as electric tailgate struts and tailgate locks, and its products are used by leading brands such as BYD and GWM.
