Zhongshan celebrated the 2026 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival at the cultural square of Shengshi village in Shaxi town on September 29.

The harvest fair was the highlight of the day. Twenty booths showcased and promoted Zhongshan's specialty farm products and harvest goods, along with products from the municipal supply and marketing cooperative and towns and subdistricts, drawing many visitors.

Zhongshan's grain output hit a record high of 16,600 tonnes in the first half of the year, up more than 26 percent year on year. The city's total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery reached 7.185 billion yuan, up 4.9 percent, while the per capita disposable income of rural residents grew 5.9 percent to 26,989 yuan.
