The GDTV Pearl River Channel broadcast of the featured documentary "Waterside Love Songs" was shown Monday night on the "Cultural Pearl River" program. The documentary spotlighted the past and present of the Zhongshan Salty-Water Song. The Zhongshan Salty-Water Song was one of the first treasures of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Projects. The show also discussed how this outstanding folk art has been handed down and developed over the years.

In mid-to-late December of last year, the large-scale symphony cantata drama "Salty Water Songs" debuted at the Zhongshan Culture & Art Center. Taking this opportunity, GDTV's film crew took advantage of the trip and visited Zhongshan. The crew also interviewed the drama's creative personnel. They then went to Tanzhou and Dongsheng Town for program shooting.
