The opening ceremony of the 2020 Tanzhou Salty Water Song Cultural Tourism Season was held at Creative Cultural Loft in Tanzhou Town on September 28.

From now until December, various cultural tourist activities will be held in Tanzhou, covering photography, calligraphy, food exhibitions, square dancing, singing competitions, traditional operas for the public, and "Intangible Cultural Heritage" exchange activities.

At the opening ceremony, a studio of Wu Zhihui, the inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage project "Zhongshan Salty Water Song", and the "Zhongshan Salty Water Songs Art Troupe" were both unveiled. Besides, the Friends of Zhongshan Cultural Center, the Tanzhou Creation Base of the Zhongshan Writers Association, the Tanzhou Creation Base of the Zhongshan Calligraphers Association and the Tanzhou Creation Base of the Zhongshan Photography Association were also inaugurated.

As the birthplace of Zhongshan Salty Water Song, Tanzhou has strengthened the inheritance and protection of salty water songs in recent years and became the "Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Art (Salty Water Song) for 2018-2020" last year.
