He once showcased the dance on the stage of "Avenue of Stars", a CCTV reality show. He has more than 60 performances every year and has even preformed in Sydney, Australia. In Changzhou Community of West District, Zhongshan, there is a 6th-generation successor of the national intangible cultural heritage project of the "Drunken Dragon Dance". His name is  Huang Jinjian.

Every time Huang Jinjian performs, his father's last wish rings in his mind: "Pass on the Drunken Dragon Dance." And every time he comes on stage and sees the audience, he feels that he has taken another step towards this goal.

Huang Jinjian is 56 years old this year. At the age of 8, through the influence of his father Huang Zhuogen, he began to practice Nanquan Boxing and was introduced to the Drunken Dragon Dance at the age of 12.

"My father was the leader of the Drunken Dragon Dance in the village. He would tour the streets on the 8th day of the 4th lunar month for the Buddha Bathing Ceremony. How fantastic it was!" Huang Jinjian recalled the past. At the age of 20, he mastered all the moves and gradually became the leader of Drunken Dragon Dance.

Huang always asked himself how he could innovate the Drunken Dragon Dance to make it more attractive. Based off of the traditional technique of spitting wine, Huang Jinjian gradually created the "fire spitting" technique - with torch in his hand, and alcohol in his mouth, he can make a one-meter-long flame.

In June 2008, the Drunken Dragon Dance was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List by the State Council, and Huang Zhuogen was subsequently included on the 3rd batch of representative inheritors of the national intangible cultural heritage projects.

Every summer vacation, Huang Jinjian always leads a group of apprentices to carry out teaching of the Drunken Dragon Dance, and is often invited to primary and secondary schools in West District to conduct teaching activities.
