The first 2019 Nanlang Peach Blossom Food & Culture Festival opened on the morning of January 20 in the New Phoenix Waterside Eco-Park. The festival delighted up to 1,000 happy visitors.

Allegro, singing, a catwalk show, magic show, and Cantonese opera were performed during the opening ceremony. In addition, festival-goers were entertained a cheongsam show, photography competition, food carnival, and other pleasing activities.

The coming days will see recreational activities including a waterside Spring Festival Gala, Lantern Festival evening party, "Galsang Flower Ocean" and spring outing. These festivities can be enjoyed in the park in upcoming days until the Spring Festival.

The Peach Blossom Food & Culture Festival is being collaboratively hosted by the New Phoenix Waterside Eco-Park, Nanlang Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, Readers' Club of Zhongshan Daily, and Zhongshan Photojournalists Association.

Reports say that the New Phoenix Waterside Eco-Park will be gradually developed into a cultural tourist attraction with multiple functions. Plans include art performances, cultural experiences, leisure tourism, study tours, specialty catering, parent-child outdoor activities, resort-style services, team building, farming experiences, and agricultural product sales. Expectations are to have the Eco-Park become "the New Cultural-Tourism Business Card" of Nanlang Town and, by association, Zhongshan City.
