In an effort to build a better brand image for Shenwan Pineapple and deliver quality fruits to its consumers, the Ziyou Farm in Shenwan invested 200,000 yuan on the initial launch of the Shenwan Pineapple Quality Testing and Tracking System. Consumers can now easily access production information by scanning the QR code labeled on pineapples.

On March 13, Chen Qianwen, Chief of the Ziyou Farm, was busy pasting anti-fake marks and QR codes on the ready-to-harvest pineapples. The whole production, from planting to reaping, is monitored by 14 surveillance cameras installed across the farm.

Chen said he recently adopted the "company plus farmers" planting mode for his 200 mu (more than 130,000 square meters) large pineapple field. This move also helps the surrounding farmers to increase their income, Chen added.

Chen decided to perfect the brand and image of Shenwan Pineapple with internet technologies. He entrusted a professional company to develop a system incorporating production information registration, tracking information registration, QR code printing, and inquiring along with other functions. With this system, he can now record production information, trace product flow, and place inquiries on storage and transportation information of Shenwan Pineapples.
