The First Pineapple Cultural Tourism Festival of Shenwan Town in 2019 kicked off at the cultural center square of Shenwan on May 1 in the morning. 

Large-scale artistic performances for the festival attracted a large number of citizens. Singing, dancing, magic shows, face changing and other amazing programs got a thunderous reception.

There were also charity sales, pineapple snowy moon cakes DIY, pineapple tasting and other stalls, in the front of which people stood in long queues. Among those, the large "watermelon pineapple" and red pineapple displayed at the stall of the Shenwan Orchard became star products. 

The person in charge of the orchard said that each "watermelon pineapple" weighed up to 5 kilograms while the red pineapple, dubbed "lucky strike", weighed up to 1 kilogram each.

It is revealed that the cultural and tourism festival also incorporated garden party, photography competition, agritainment, painting and calligraphy, among other amazing activities. "We hope to make this event an annual tourism and cultural carnival in Shenwan Town, and endow the unique and delicious Shenwan pineapple with cultural connotations to boost its humanistic image." Li Jingyu, Deputy Director of Publicity and Sports Service Center of Shenwan Town, said that he hoped that the activities would promote the common development of agriculture, animal husbandry, catering industry, tourism and service industry in the entire town.

That same day, the Fourth Shenwan Pineapple Tourism Cultural Garden Fair 2019 was also launched at Ziyou Farm. As a sub-venue of the Shenwan pineapple cultural tourism festival, the garden fair attracted nearly 10,000 citizens to come to pick and taste pineapples on the opening day.
