Guangdong South China Famous Agricultural Products Promotion Center recently announced the list of the top 100 famous, special, excellent and new regional agricultural brands for 2019. Two Zhongshan time-honored brands, Huangpu Preserved Meat and Shenwan Pineapple, have be enrolled onto the list.

Organizers assessed the value of these regional agricultural brands, with Yingde Black Tea topping the list at 27.29 billion yuan. Huangpu Preserved Meat and Shenwan Pineapple are worth 1.2 billion yuan and 340 million yuan respectively. 

Huangpu Preserved Meat originated in 1886. There have been nearly 100 local cured meat companies in Huangpu Town, making it the largest production base of Cantonese cured meat across China. 

Shenwan Pineapple began in 1915. It has been favored by many customers thanks to its sweet fragrance, no-residue characteristics, and acid-free quality.
