"As the inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of the Shiqi Pigeon, I wish to take what I have learned in my life and cook for the anti-epidemic heroes," said Zheng Yaorong, a registered Chinese culinary master.
On March 20, when celebrating the safe return of Zhongshan aiding-Hubei medical team, city leaders promised the anti-epidemic heroes "not only to treat you with pigeons and crisped grass carp, but also to Sanxiang Rice Noodles and Shenwan Pineapples."
After seeing media reports, Zheng Yaorong recently drew up a menu, covering many Zhongshan local specialties and famous dishes. "I hope to entertain them with the most authentic hometown food and pay tribute to their efforts."
News came to many famous Chinese chefs of Guangdong Province Cantonese Cuisine Master Studio and food merchants and they expressed their willingness to complete this mission with Zheng Yaorong. Many other business owners have also offered to provide chefs with the most authentic ingredients.
"I have seen great love from these heroes who fought against the epidemic. From the speeches delivered by the city leaders, I have learned to take on responsibilities. Our colleagues in the food industry should also take on their own." Zheng Yaorong explained.
