The Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province recently announced the list of provincial modern agricultural industrial parks for 2021. Zhongshan's Sanjiao Snakehead Fish Industrial Park and Huangpu Preserved Meat Industrial Park made the list.

Snakehead is a traditional aquaculture product in Sanjiao Town and has been cultivated for more than 50 years. Around 11,000 mu (about 733.3 hectares) of land is reserved for snakehead fish farming in the town, with an annual output of over 80,000 tons and an annual output value of over 1 billion yuan. Sanjiao has launched the establishment of this modern agricultural industrial park. Upon its completion, the whole park will raise 3.5 billion snakehead fish with a value exceeding 200 million yuan. The annual output of commercial snakehead will be 150,000 tons, with a value reaching 2.1 billion yuan.

Through 8 key projects, Huangpu Preserved Meat Industrial Park will a digital, cultural industrial park with a full industry chain covering livestock and poultry, aquatic products, eggs, preserved meat and other products.
