In the lush hills of Wugui Mountain, Zhongshan City, an 800,000-square-meter eco-farm is breathing new life into local agriculture. Founded by Li Dingyuan, a former IT professional from Hong Kong, Nantai Eco-Farm has revitalized tens of thousands of decades-old Jinhuang mango trees.

By avoiding chemical ripening agents and adopting organic cultivation methods, including manual weeding and individual fruit bagging, Li transformed the neglected orchard into a source of premium, fiber-free and extra-sweet mangoes.

To bridge the gap between rural production and modern consumer markets, Li partnered with brand strategist Lin Zijun. Together, they developed an integrated model combining livestream e-commerce, fruit-picking tourism and dried-mango processing, cutting fruit waste from 30 percent to 10 percent.

With support from local rural revitalization initiatives, nearly half of the farm's annual harvest is now sold directly across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The farm has also become a model for sustainable agriculture and cross-border entrepreneurship in the region.
