The Launching Ceremony of the 20th China’s Mandarin Popularization Week in Key Cities in Guangdong Province cum Zhongshan’s 5th Chinese Character Dictation Competition for Primary School Students were held in China-Hong Kong English School on September 9th. 

230 students from 46 schools across Zhongshan attended this competition. After intense games, 24 teams entered the semi-final. The final round of the competition will be held on September 16th.

The 20th China’s Mandarin Popularization Week lasts from September 11th to September 17th, and Zhongshan is designated as the key city of Guangdong Province for this activity. During the activity, Chinese Character Dictation Competition, Chinese Character Calligraphy Competition, language and art performances, experts’ lectures, book fair and Mandarin Grading Test will be held.
