A giant "palace lantern" decorated with flowers showed up on the lawn in Sun Wen Park. Reporters learned from Zhongshan Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development that up to 140 thousand potted plants have been placed in the public parks and major roads in central city this year in order to create a good urban landscape to welcome and celebrate the National Day.

It is known that the 7-meter-high "palace lantern" in Sun Wen Park is mainly decorated with celosia cristata phumosa, red sage, carnation, petunia and other flowers.
