The gathering for overseas Chinese returned home from the US and Canada and Zhongshanese living in Hong Kong and Macao kicked off in Xiya Village in Torch Zone on November 1. 

The Zhongshan folks visited the Xiya Kindergarten, Guangdong Meiweixian Flavoring Foods Co Ltd, Zhongshan Juxiangyuan Food Co Ltd, Yikang Nursing Home during the 3 days’ trip. They also attended the meeting and other activities held in Torch Zone Theater.

During the gathering, overseas Zhongshanese who had great contribution to hometown’s development, educational work and elderly cause were awarded honorary certificates by Torch Zone government.
