The 2017 Overseas Chinese (Zhongshan) Essay Competition Award Ceremony cum The Award-Winning Works Calligraphy Exhibition Opening Ceremony was held in Zhongshan Workers Cultural Palace on the morning of January 6.

The competition lasted for three months and collected a total of 1,348 works, more than 400 of which won prizes. The “Outstanding Prize” was won by Lyu Mengshan from Huangpu Town Middle School with her article "Grandma's Bauhinia".

The competition organizer issued the certificates to the winners at the award ceremony.
