75-year-old Zhongshan runner conquers Boston Marathon

The 2018 Boston Marathon held on April 16 local time had three participants from Zhongshan for the first time. One of them was Gao Yunfu, a 75-year-old runner who completed the marathon with 5h 3mins 50secs. He was also the second oldest Chinese runner who participated and finished the Boston Marathon this year.

The other two Zhongshan runners were Song Yaping, a local entrepreneur, and He Xiaozhen, a teacher from Haotou Middle School. 

More than 30,000 people run in the Boston Marathon this year. There were a total of 4 Chinese runners aged above 70, the oldest of which was 78 years old.
