“Public Culture Construction Site” The 2018 Guangdong Public Culture Forum, which was sponsored by Guangdong Province Department of Culture and Zhongshan Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film, Television, Press and Publication, was held on September 19 in Zhongshan. The event has drawn 300 representatives attending for experience exchange and in-depth discussion about public culture construction.

The event deliberated the topics “Reform and innovation, optimizing the supply of public cultural services”, “Co-construction and sharing, enhancing the comprehensive benefits of public culture” and “Talent guidance, making good use of the first resource of public culture”.

Before the opening ceremony, cultural workers from 21 cities across Guangdong visited Chinese Rosewood Culture Expo City in Dachong and Liangdu Community Cultural Service Center in South District, and participated in the “Tuesday Art Salon” in Zhongshan Culture and Art Center.

Guangdong Province Department of Culture also awarded plaques to county-level libraries and pilot regions of “central-branch cultural center system”.
