The 12th Xiangshan Tea Culture Festival sponsored by South District Administrative Office, county government of Anxi, Fujian province and organizing committee of the festival was carried out on November 10 to 11 at Huatonghang Tea Market.

The “Tea Art Skills Contest” of the festival this year also invited specialists from Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Jiangmen and Yangjiang, which provided an opportunity for local tea art masters to exchange experience with peers on the same stage. 

According to Yang Wenzhong, responsible person of organizing committee of the festival, “Xiangshan Tea Culture Festival”, which was started in 2007, is an annual event held at Huatonghang Tea Market. The local government also urges cultivation of professionals in tea industry relying on the superior conditions of tea market in South District.

So far, a number of tea art specialists have started their own business and become the important driving force of the development of Zhongshan tea industry.
