The final of Zhongshan Beautiful Essay Contest 2018, which is sponsored by Zhongshan Civilization Office, Zhongshan Daily Group and Zhongshan Association of Cyber Culture, was held on December 9 at Zhongshan Hot Spring Hotel the main venue and Guzhen Lihe Plaza the parallel session. Mainstream media across the Pearl River Delta live broadcast the event online.

Liao Hongyu, Sun Hong and Huang Gang won the first, second and third prizes of the competition respectively with prose work “Watching the Sunset with You”, prose work “The Person Who Shares a Fish” and prose poem work “Stay Away from Noise, Look for Plum Blossoms”. Cao Qizheng’s work was awarded “Golden Quotation” prize.

Responsible person of New Media Center of Zhongshan Daily Group said “Zhongshan Daily APP” added a new column “Wen Peng” since August 2017. So far it has collected 16,800 essays and published 2,800, with over 2 million views. All the finalisted works were selected from “Wen Peng”.
