The 2018 Cross-Straits Communication Activity cum “Zhongshan Cup” Junior Baseball Invitational kicked off at Panda Baseball Field in Dongsheng Town on December 8.

During three and a half days, some 200 players of 8 baseball teams from Taidong and Taoyuan of Taiwan and Zhongshan and Guangzhou of Guangdong were divided into two groups, U12 and U15, to exercise skills and exchange experiences.

Zhongshan has held the junior baseball invitational for 12 consecutive years since 2006, attracting more than 1,000 teachers and students to participate in. The event becomes a new platform for experiential exchanges between juveniles from both sides of Taiwan Straits and promotes the development of youth baseball.
