The exchange meeting for the 10th anniversary of Guangdong Reading Room for Workers was held in Guangzhou recently. Five Zhongshan units including Xiaolan Workers Service Center, Zhongshan Secondary Intermediate People's Court, Zhongshan Auto Electronics Technology Co Ltd, Zhongshan Industrial and Commercial Bureau, Sanxiang Branch of Zhongshan Power Supply Bureau were respectively awarded "Guangdong Reading Room for Workers". 

According to Lu Yujian, director of Xiaolan Workers Service Center, their workers' reading room which was co-built with Yongning Community Library covers an area of 600 square meters and holds more than 27,000 books and 15 digital reading devices. It has previously won a lot of honors for benefiting thousands of families.

Reportedly, so far Zhongshan has built 504 municipal-level reading rooms for workers, 10 provincial-level ones, and 40 national demonstration workers' reading rooms.
