The 2019 Spring Festival Lantern Show will open on Feb 3, the 28th day of the twelfth lunar month. It will last for 22 days until Feb 24, the 20th day of the first month of the coming lunar new year.

The event's main venue, with the theme "Enter the New Era", will be set at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Park. A total of 31 sets of beautiful lanterns will be exhibited.

There will be another 10 parallel venues set at Yixian Lake Park, Zimaling Park, Zhongshan Park, the big lawn in front of the office building of the Zhongshan Committee of CPPCC, Xingzhong Avenue, Bo'ai Road, and others. These decorative lanterns, which combine chrysanthemum arts and cultures with festive, colorful lanterns, aim to demonstrate both Chinese traditional culture and the local Zhongshan folk culture.

The construction and set up will last from Jan 2 to Feb 2. The Zhongshan Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Gardening reminds citizens not to enter the construction areas during these dates due to safety concerns.
