Zhongshan's first 24-hour, self-service bookstore, the "City Light Spot," made its debut at Holiday Plaza on January 27.

Distinct from other bookstores, "City Light Spot" is an unattended bookstore. From face recognition and QR code scanning to selecting goods and self-serviced payment, the shopping experience will be completed entirely by its customers. 

Equipped with an advanced, intelligent system, the bookstore is able to analyze the information of its readers. The store's operating system will change the products offered for sale each week by utilizing the analysis results of readers' preferences. 

A total of 868 citizens were drawn to the bookstore on the opening day.
