The 24th Guangdong International Ballroom Dance Tournament cum the 2nd Zhongshan Youth International Ballroom Dance (Sports Dancing) Invitational, sponsored by the Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Guangdong Ballroom Dance Federation, was held from May 10 to 11 at the gymnasium of Dongfeng Recreation and Arts Center. Over 3,000 pairs of dancers from 43 delegations in Guangdong competed in Zhongshan.

The GDIBDT, which has been held for 23 times previously, is a platform for deep interaction, learning and exchange among professional dancers and dance lovers in Guangdong, and also one of the brand competitions in the domestic ballroom dance circle.

The tournament this year set up 237 competition groups. It is worth mentioning that members of the "Guangdong International Ballroom Dance Youth Elite Team" would be selected from competitors of the Amateur Youth group.
