With "Inheriting Cultural Roots and Building the Future of Zhongshan" as its theme, the 2019 Zhongshan Cultural Heritage Theme Event kicked off on June 29 in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. Nearly a thousand tourists and students in study tour attended the opening ceremony.

This event aimed to promote, inherit and display the intangible cultural heritage projects of Zhongshan and create a demonstration platform for showing and spreading local intangible cultural heritage projects through exhibition, performance and cultural tourism.

A series of activities including intangible cultural heritage parade and flash performance, 48-hour exhibition, seal collection and study tour were carried out on the day. Local intangible cultural heritage projects such as Changzhou Drunken Dragon, Sanxiang Puppet Show and Salty Water Song showed up to perform.
