The Commemorative Event of Chinese Cartoon Master Fang Cheng and the Launch Ceremony of "Collected Works of Fang Cheng" were organized at the Zhongshan Book Fair on July 14 afternoon. The first batch of released "Collected Works of Fang Cheng" with his autograph, were popular among Zhongshan readers.

It took Zhongshan Publishing Co Ltd of the Guangdong People's Publishing House more than 3 years to publish the 16-volume "Collected Works of Fang Cheng". "We specially set up a 'cartoon image wall of centenarian Fang Cheng', where cartoon lovers can imitate the ink comic images of Fang Cheng," said the head of Zhongshan Publishing, adding that it is aimed at gathering more art lovers to pay tribute to Mr Fang Cheng.

August 22 this year will mark the first anniversary of Fang Cheng's death. Zhongshan Publishing will cooperate with the Zhongshan Cartoon Museum and the Zhongshan Art Museum in organizing an exhibition tour of Fang Cheng's comics in primary and middle schools across Zhongshan in commemoration of his achievements in the Chinese comic history as a means of pushing more teenagers to love comics.
