The 2019 Zhongshan Men's Basketball League kicked off at the basketball courts of Zhongshan Fitness Square on the evening of July 15.

Hosted by the Zhongshan Education and Sports Bureau and organized by the Zhongshan Basketball Association and the Zhongshan Sports Competitions Administration Center, the competition is divided into 2 stages. Stage One sees the teams divided into 4 groups for round-robin. The first 2 of each group will advance to Stage Two for knockout matches that would decide the top 8.

Statistics show that a total of 335 players from across the city will participate in the competition.
