In the semi-final of the China Instrumental TV Competition recently broadcasted on CCTV-15, Zhongshan Youth Chinese Orchestra (ZSYCO) of the Zhongshan Youth Activity Center appeared in the non-traditional group and performed its work "Sun and Fenice" to present the music from the hometown of the great to the audiences nationwide.

ZSYCO, who made the semi-final, was invited to Beijing to take part in the recording of the CCTV China Instrumental TV Competition.

The competition has attracted nearly 6,000 competitors from all over the world, including over 20 provinces, cities and autonomous regions, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as Mongolia, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, the United States and other countries. After the rigorous selection, a total of 1,400 players of 40 teams from all over reached the semi-final. ZSYCO is one of the only 2 art groups from Guangdong Province that made the semi-final.

"Sun and Fenice" describes people's worship of the sun and the immortal bird since ancient times. It has once been presented to the Guangdong 6th Middle and Primary School Art Performance with the theme "Growing Up in Sunshine" and acclaimed by people from all walks of life.
