A group of teenagers, wearing boxing gloves, are practicing boxing skills, sweating profusely, in Zhongshan Shang Wu Club.
The 8 young boxers, aged from 15 to 17, are the top athletes picked out by Zhongshan Association of Fight, Sanda & Boxing through rounds of selection. Most of them left their parents and hometown alone since childhood, and gathered in Zhongshan because of boxing.
"The training is harsh. I usually missed my parents and once considered giving up when I first came here. But I have persevered finally, because I do want to play in professional games in the future," said the 16-year-old Wang Jiahao from Zhoukou, Henan Province.
