The 2019 Book Recommendation Party for Zhongshan Excellent Workers' Book Houses, with the theme "Reading Innovation in the New Era", and the Reading Experience Sharing Gathering were held on August 16 at Zhongshan Expo Center. The events were organized for further promotion of the universal reading campaign and the construction of "Literary Companies".

Currently, Zhongshan has created 40 national exemplary workers' book houses, 10 province-level and 454 city-level workers' book houses.

This year, Zhongshan plans to create 2 more national exemplary workers' book houses, 3 province-level and 32 city-level workers' book houses. The plan also includes book donations to some of the national exemplary workers' book houses, grass-root reading sites and excellent model workers.

At the experience sharing gathering, 4 outstanding employees represented by Hu Jiayue from the Zhongshan Power Supply Bureau shared their own stories about reading. They also suggested others to choose book based on their interests and develop a good habit of daily reading.

An exhibition on the development of workers' book houses in Zhongshan was also jointly held at the events by the organizer and 6 outstanding units with workers' book houses, including the Zhongshan Taxation Administration.
